Fortaco and Jungheinrich signed a Strategic Partner Agreement

Fortaco and Jungheinrich have signed a Frame Contract for Production Material on October 2, 2014. The agreement starts initially with forklift cabins, and it offers great opportunities to enlarge the steel weldment business further between Fortaco and Jungheinrich. This business partnership is also an indication of Fortaco’s competitiveness in Central Europe.

Linkker and Fortaco will start manufacturing cooperation

Linkker and Fortaco have signed a cooperation agreement on October 6, 2014 with the aim to start the manufacturing of electric city buses in Sastamala in 2015. The agreement is based on the manufacturing of new electric-powered city buses, which Linkker is selling and marketing as well as further developing. Fortaco is responsible for the manufacturing of buses.

Demand for electrical buses is increasing rapidly, Linkker and Fortaco both see that with this agreement they are enable to respond to the growing demand. In practice, this agreement allows the annual production capacity initially for 200 vehicles in Fortaco Sastamala Business Site and there are also possibilities for broader annual production at Fortaco’s current manufacturing network.

Fortaco delivered welded components to the world's biggest Reachstacker made by Kalmar

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has produced the world’s biggest Reachstacker machine, the Super Gloria. This machine has a proven lifting capacity over 100 tonnes and is by that the world’s biggest Reachstacker. Fortaco has been Kalmar’s trusted supplier partner already for several years and got for the reason possibility to participate of this important project. Fortaco supplied to Kalmar the entire main welded components like boom, chassis and steering axle.

The Super Gloria reachstacker range is the world’s largest industrial reachstacker in Kalmar’s hugely successful Gloria range. It boasts a completely new design, developed to meet customer’s critical specifications with lift capacities up to 120 tonnes depending on application. The Super Gloria model has been augmented with a specially raised cab to enhance visibility and a wheelbase of 9.25m to provide maximum stability.
