Supplier Quality Development Manager 

We are looking for SQD Manager to FORTACO Group Office located in Wrocław. We offer an interesting task in a multi-cultural, international environment, and good opportunities for developing professional skills in a modern production environment with state-of-the-art technology.

Tasks and responsibilities 

Your area of responsibilities includes the following tasks: 

  • design and implement FORTACO Group strategy on supplier quality development.
  • development and management of processes and policies related to supplier quality development.
  • implementation of FORTACO Group requirements and processes for supplier selection, project management, supplier performance management, supplier quality problem solving and escalation.
  • accountability for all supplier quality related KPIs and drive of group-wide initiatives and actions to ensure achievement of supplier quality targets
  • standardization of supplier evaluation process used in all FORTACO Group.
  • Development of the quality driven and cost focused preferred supplier base which can support FORTACO Group future needs.
  • structuring of total supplier performance and implement transparency in overall Group supplier performance data.
  • creation and maintenance of Supplier Quality network among FORTACO Group sites.
  • supporting new product introductions with flawless launches from the suppliers by applying the APQP and / or relevant processes.
  • supporting FORTACO Group production units by implementing relevant problem-solving methods in supplier interfaces.
  • securing support to Category Management and Sourcing Managers in sourcing initiatives and new supplier implementations.
  • securing knowledge development and transfer as well as synergies within supplier quality development team.
  • drive to reduce of the overall cost of low supplier quality.

To be able to convey the tasks successfully we require from the potential candidate: 

  • min. 10 years’ experience in Supplier Development or related discipline in automotive or industrial sector and min. 3 years of managerial experience including remote management.
  • demonstration of strong manufacturing, process, quality systems and root cause analysis or countermeasure experience.
  • good knowledge of quality tools and processes (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, 6M, QRPS, etc.) as well as supplier performance measurements (PPM, QPM, etc.).
  • result-orientation and the drive to follow through from opportunity identification to implementation.
  • proven track-record in building well-functioning cross functional cooperation with and among sites as well as ability to work successfully in different cultures.
  • to be the team player and a good network builder with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • fluency in English, both in speaking and in writing. Fluency in other EU languages shall be an asset.
