Getting to lean – organically
Lean thinking is a holistic improvement philosophy, which can be used in every business and process. Companies’ most important task should be to create value for their clients, that is the starting point of lean thinking. It is not a tactic or a cost reduction program, but a way of thinking and acting in entire organization.
Lean is part of Fortaco’s operational excellence model, but in the beginning “injecting” this thinking into operations – by lean experts – brought up challenges and didn’t deliver desired results. It was time to take a different approach, and step by step results started to come up as wanted. Luckily, there is more than one way to approach lean, the foundation of our lean approach is built on the belief that the series of consistently applied small steps will lead to big results.
