History and future in the spotlight at Business Site Kurikka.
Business Site Kurikka, known as “Velsanmäki”, reached an important milestone as its 90th anniversary was celebrated.
Bringing together current staff, retired employees, and former unit managers and CEOs, the event was an important cut through of factory’s successful and eventful history. The roots of the unit go back to the founding of Kurikan Pyörä Oy, later known as Velsa, and today part of the Fortaco Group.
In the limelight were people: the commitment of former and current team has been crucial to the success, and the history of “Velsanmäki” is a reflection of constant renewal, cooperation, and commitment to quality — values that will also carry the business into the future.
Arto Aro, Business Site Director, warmly welcomed the guests and reminded that these 90 years have been a journey of generations at the factory. It is about thousands of working hours and countless decisions, first and foremost, a commitment to work that people can be proud of.
Success has not been self-evident, it has been built on the ability to renew. Ninety years is a huge milestone, and the next chapter will be written — together.
