Russia and Ukraine update
Russia has launched an invasion of Ukraine and we are receiving updated news of escalation and increased military activity around the Donbass area, as well as other parts of Ukraine. Situation is developing rapidly, and its consequences to the business environment are unknown at this moment.
Fortaco does not see an immediate and direct disturbance at our operations in Central-Europe. The direct supply chain consequences are limited. However, we are aware that the Donbass area is an important source of raw material, supplying to many steel producers in our area.
We have Ukrainian workforce at some of our business sites. We will do our utmost to keep our people safe and operational during the crisis.
We are alerted and following the situation very closely. We will continue updating our stakeholders when development occurs. Please do not hesitate to contact your local Fortaco representatives for more information.
In the meantime, we hope everyone remains healthy.
